Our Homesteading Journey

Life is filled with beautiful moments, hard lessons, unexpected detours, and opportunities to grow. Some seasons bring peace, purpose, and joy. Others are messy, exhausting, and far different than we imagined. Through it all, we’ve learned that while life is rarely perfect, we still have a choice — to keep moving forward, keep learning, and keep building something meaningful despite the challenges. Koutz Farm began as a dream rooted in simplicity, healing, nature, and a desire to create a life with deeper purpose. What started as a small homestead on 6.96 acres became more than just land — it became a journey of resilience, faith, adaptation, and rediscovering what truly matters. Due to injury and chronic illness, we’ve had to reshape parts of that dream for now, but not the heart behind it.This space invites you to explore the realities of homesteading alongside us — the victories and setbacks, the beauty and the hard work, the lessons learned, and the life still being built one day at a time.
