Utah
The National Center for Appropriate Technology or NCAT has been helping people build resilient communities through local and sustainable solutions that reduce poverty, strengthen self-reliance, and protect natural resources since 1976. NCAT is a trusted, practical connector for individuals and businesses who are working to leave our world better than we found it. We do this work through a trusted knowledgebase, providing individualized technical assistance, facilitating practical solutions, and connecting people with each other to support sustainable agriculture and clean energy systems. Headquartered in Butte, Montana, NCAT has field offices in Arkansas, California, Idaho, Kentucky, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Utah.
Oversees dozens of legislatively mandated programs that promote the healthy growth of Utah agriculture, the conservation of our natural resources and the protection of our food supply. Two important programs are the Utah Grazing Improvement Program and the Invasive Weeds Mitigation Program. Both work to improve the health of our rangelands and watersheds.
Vermont
The Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets (VAAFM) facilitates, supports and encourages the growth and viability of agriculture in Vermont while protecting the working landscape, human health, animal health, plant health, consumers and the environment.
Virginia

Promotes the economic growth and development of Virginia agriculture, provides consumer protection and encourages environmental stewardship. The agency is headquartered in Richmond and has several field offices, four regional diagnostic animal health laboratories and a global network of representatives promoting Virginia products internationally.
Washington
WSDA has been serving agriculture and the public for more than 100 years. Through service, regulation, and advocacy, we support keeping agriculture viable and vital in Washington State, while protecting consumers, public health, and the environment.
West Virginia
Our mission is to protect plants, animals and human health and the state’s food supply through a variety of scientific and regulatory programs. WVDA staff work to provide vision, strategic planning, and emergency response for agricultural and other civil emergencies, as well as to promote food safety to protect consumers through educational outreach.
Wisconsin
Our mission is to serve as a model of how thriving rural communities appreciate and celebrate agriculture through fellowship in order to decrease the stigma of mental health and serve to promote the health of its farming community as an asset to the wellbeing all within the community.
